Sublime Castle Stalker

By hwatt
Appin, Argyll, Scotland

I am not usually a great lover of cloudless sunsets but on exceptional clear nights they do occasionally work because of the infinitely smooth gradient transition from twilight blue to orange as in this case. Another bonus was the high tide and the breathlessly still conditions to reflect that transition of colour with the castle semi-silhouetted against the tangerine sky on it's grass covered island podium.
