Submarine wreck, Aberlady.

By AnnJ
During the past week I have revisited this site in the hope of getting a 3rd image to enter our forthcoming final Camera Club competition. It is a bit of a trek to get to it and when one does the weather can suddenly change and one is drenched or the tides are too low/high etc.! This is Scotland after all!
Hope to get some feed back on this one as I am not sure if it is good enough!

Thank you for looking,
Ann.

An image with bags of varied content, Ann - reflections, textures, originality regarding the subject, the boat on the horizon along with those distant mountains.
I like the range of colours and the different layers as well as the opposing angles of the ripples in the sand and the submarine.
The sky is well defined and contrasts well against the flatness(not a criticism) of the sea and sand in the centre of the image before the crisp diagonals of the foreground come in to play.
An excellent image that deserves to do well in your forthcoming competition.
Good Luck!

A good dramatic sky for a dramatic subject. Reminds me of a big dead whale. A super image I think.

Good composition and easy on the eye palette Ann.
Is this the usual wreck which photographers capture
at sunrise usually with long exposure?
I've not often seen it at low tide.

Thanks for all your lovely and encouraging comments. I entered this in a recent Camera Club competition and the judge said it was just a "record shot!"
Ann.
