Powerful. You've gone in close, cut out background, adding to the intensity. I think I might go for a square crop, to my eye it would give even more weight to the hand and face. But that's just how I see things.

Photographing sculpture is one of my (many) obsessions, it's about conveying someone else's creation faithfully but with one's own vision and style, it's about turning three dimensions into two. V2 for me goes to the core of the sculpture.
