Suilven from Fionn Loch - the Far North West image 4

By MunroWalker
Image taken on 8 April 2015

Suilven from Fionn Loch - The Assynt, Sutherland, Scotland.

Walked uphill 3.5 miles in from the coast at Inverkirkaig, and followed the River Kirkaig up to Fionn Loch and managed to get this shot.

It was a beautiful day (too much light for good images) the wind however was very strong. To slow things (the water and the grass) down a bit and overcome the bright light I used my ND1000 filter to take this shot.

I think it came out okay.

Suilven has two hills - Caisteal Liath (the grey pillar 731m) and Meall Meadhonach (723m) and looked like no other hill I had ever seen - a natural
wonder !

Thanks for you views and comments.
