I think this illustrates summer.
Taken in the garden using the camera at a low viewpoint. I saw the bee in the right poppy so waited until he popped out in the hope he would nip over to the left. And he did. Timing was essential to get him mid-way between the two. I'm not far off.

The light has given the petals a papery look which makes them look very thin and vulnerable. And well done that bee.

Fabulous shot, your patience was well rewarded here! The lighting is gorgeous through those delicate pink petals, showing their detail to perfection. And what a lovely, co-operative little bee Wink.

Brilliant timing and composition, the light through the poppies is wonderful and the blue sky is a reminder of something we used to get here. The Pentax was one the first 35mm reflex cameras I ever had, s1a as I recall then a SV later. They're great cameras that deserve some of the sales that Canon & Nikon trap.

They're not the red variety if that's what's disappointing - these ones are pink.
