some minor adjustments in photoshop here just to add something to the image because i thought it looked a little plain.

Might be a "little plain" but IMHO, it can stand without the additions - especially as the direction of the shadow doesn't seem to match the flare. Maybe if you make it totally B&W and add a little grain you might end up with a typical 60s seaside glamour shot.

Hi, I will agree with GeorgeP about the "sunrays" and the shadow. Talking of the latter, I think the shadow would look better should you had zoomed out or pulled back.
I do not get the idea of anonymity her raised arm introduces as it is hiding her face. It's lovely pose to play with her scalp hair but I would had instructec her to do this with her left arm and open her face to the viewers.
