Summit View - Loughrigg Fell 1

By CathyI
After spending some time at Waterhead in Ambleside, we decided to make the most of the good light and weather, and headed for the summit of Loughrigg Fell – which offers a disproportionately high reward for the comparatively small effort required to get there in my opinion and has excellent views from the top, including this one looking down Langdale past the Pikes towards Bowfell.

This was taken with my new telephoto lens – the Canon 70 – 200 mm f4 L – which I finally managed to buy at the end of January with a little help from Santa and this trip was the first time it got used “in anger” as it were… I have to say that I rather like it! Wink
