Every Friday night I come past this lovely view, about a mile from home. But I wanted an interesting landscape, not a boring sunset Smile
CRitics welcome!!!

Many thanks for all your kind comments and votes for the little hairstreak

Wow! Beautiful, Annette.
Looks great. Maybe I would have brightened the flowers a little but nothing wrong with your interpretation.

First off I much prefer V1. The sky is subtler, and its ripples are echoed in the rippling sunflower heads. I like the early evening feel, but yes, I'd have added a bit of brightness and contrast to the flowers. They do still glow in low light, I think that's lacking here. Mod to follow.
Composition is spot on, it gives lots of individual little faces in the crowd. V2 has the conventional lead-in but I don't see the same character in it.

V2 for me Annette, but only by a whisker. I like the military lines of the sunflowers all saluting in the same direction and the way that the ones bottom right area brighter.

Yes there are lots of things at could be done with both images to creat new images out of them, but why?

Pretty much agree with these comments Annette. All in all I find V1 a very agreeable composition. I like it very much. Gets my award.GrinGrin

Two stunningly beautiful images which remind me of the many wonderful times we had travelling through the heart of France especially in the Loire Valley and in particular Samur.

Strange to see sunflowers upstaged by the sky!
So I'd go along with brightening the flowers a little -
nevetheless these are wonderful images with a difference.
Viva la difference! Oh help is it Viva/vive/le/la?????

Two excellent versions, Annette. A lot of summer heat and lovely sky detail in v1, but I also like the clean fresh sky of v2. I think I might have spent a bit of time cloning out the telegraph pole in v2 but that's just me. UA for v2.
