Sun Voyager

Sun Voyager is a sculpture by Jón Gunnar Árnason (1931 - 1989) in Reykjavik. I took this with my phone on a recent business trip to Iceland. The departing ship was a happy coincidence.

This is a much photographed sculpture which is not suprising it is very photogenic and appeals to the million visitors who visited Iceland in 2014.

I like the surreal element, it would look even better with an empty horizon, but beautifully done as it is!
