Wow! I wasn't expecting that response. HDR is High Dynamic Range. This means that I take a range of exposures from very dark to very light and merge them together to make a shot with a larger than normal dynamic range. There are tutorials on EPZ on this technique.

Excellent shot, wonderful sky & nice silhouette, although I don't see the advantage of HDR in this type of shot.

Hi Rog. Interesting comment, but I do see the point of using HDR. I was able to bring out the best of colour exposure for each tonal range in the sky - a simgle exposure would have been black with very little low light detail.
I wouldn't have been able to get the detail on the pathed circle that surrounds the statue.
All these things would have been possible with dodging and burning, but at more cost to the image quality.
