Is that what you're reading these days Mick?
I should explain that The Sunday Post is a Scottish newspaper!
Good one Mike!

A grand old post box - would not want to post letters there if it was stormy, I can see letters being blown away! At least the hole looks big enough to get your arm in if you change your mind about postingWink

At least it isn't The Last Post, Mick. We've been hearing rather a lot of that in the last week . . .
Nicely composed shot, even if it's rather a long way from Tipperary Smile

The old pillar boxes are always good for a picture and you show this one well, if I am being picky Mik and if you were able without falling into the drink - had you moved slightly left the fabulous bridge might have been less obtrusive but full credit to you for the shallow dof the P.B could look better a couple of inches left where there is a natural dip in the structure of the bridgeWink I do like these old type P.B. thoughSmile

What is wrong with Sunderland Mike?

I have been a Sunderland fan all my life, I lived in Whitburn for a considerable time, and I know Sunderland very well. I find your remark to be extremely curt and out of order. "But you are probably right" GrinGrinGrin

A great image, love the point of view and the subject matter

Sunday Post, eh? My dad used to get that newspaper every...err...Sunday! Grin I used to like reading The Broons and Oor Wullie when I were a lad...and a bit older! A fine looking old post box, and that old bridge in that background ain't bad either! Wink

Is it the Tyne Bridge Mick? I love that receding focus which helps to accentuate the post box.

Trust you to take a picture with the old post box as your subject instead of the Forth Rail BridgeGrin! And it's not all that grotty, quite well maintained. Excellent dof, though, Mick.

Where ever it is, it's a beauty. The juxtaposition between the two objects is brilliant.

This really makes for a beautiful shot but I must admit I got rather anxious initially as I hunted about desperately to find some rust and couldn't find any!

I then relaxed as I realised it was your evil twin who had taken this and commandeered your EPZ account.
