Sunny Scavaig Swell ...

By sut68
When we got to Elgol a year back, the light was a little too good for my liking, but as the place is such a fabulous mixture of elements it seemed a shame not to get the camera out. Haven't seen too many from here with such a benign sea and a sky like this!!!

With the absence of my snapped BIG Stopper, I concentrate on capturing the water movement and the interplay with the geology here - this was taken about 3.5 hours before sunset.

Cheers for getting past the thumbnail Grin

Paul

I remember standing on these stones many years ago, I had my tripod out and all rigged up, hen it started to rain. all I got was some quite interesting black and whites, but nothing like this at all

Ooh that's brave for this here site mate!Tongue It would seem the majority of people can't recognise class photography unless it's at sunrise or sunset!Sad
The perfect shutter speed to record that lovely water movement. Looking at the time of day, I'm guessing a 3 stop pro glass was probably employed here?

Cheers folks.

I like to be daring Phil Wink I only posess a 0.6 ProGlass but I pushed a 0.6 soft down as well though to help, though it may have been a 0.9 instead ... I genuinely can't remember now mate, but there was another employed to slow the shutter down further Smile

It's your round though Bill ... forgot to mention that Tongue

Thats a great shot with good colour and great clarity in the distant hills. So refreshing actually to see a well taken shot not actually sunrise/sunset (although nothing wrong with those either!)

Can see why you could sit there all day, Paul. The amount of movement in the sea is just about spot on, I'd say, not overdone at all, and what a bonus with that sky.

Looks like I am not the only one raiding the archives, difference is it sounds like you are out getting some new additions.

Hope it is going well and you are getting some crackers like this.

You really don't get to see this scene looking like that very often!

This is beautiful, particularly the wave movement...
