Quite wonderful Jouko. You composed this so well with the sun just partly shielded enough by the clouds. A super light.

The flare's not too extreme, Jouko. I love the low angle and the way it accentuates the shape of that beautiful boat. (Your boat? Smile)

Ian: Yes, my 30 years old hand made wooden boat and tarred every spring Smile The smell of a tar is the best thing in spring Smile

I viseted at my summer home yesterday evening, which is located by Lake Saimaa and 20 kilometres from my home......only 15 minutes to drive there....and you can hear sound of a loon.......

Bit of flare never hurt anyone Smile Think the reflections are a bit bright, and a touch more foreground would be nice. Still pretty good though!

Light the light on the side of the boat. Lens flare is OK, it's not too bad.

Ian: LOL....Sorry, I think they call KUIKKA as Black-throated Diver in England also called Artic loon and if you click that play-button , Kuikka (Gavia arctica), HERE you know what I mean.....It´s the most beautiful voice you can hear in the´s pure magic! Imagine you at 2 AM alone in the lake and all you can hear is sad voice of Artic loon and mist rising with morning sun.......I´ve witnessed it many times.....

17 May 2007 4:51PM
Superb Jouko, that sound lends a totally haunting aspect to your lake shots and makes them really come alive. A magical sound for a magical image especially viewing and listening at the same time.It would be a great tool to be able to put sound to your images as well, now theres an idea for Pete
