sunshine banksia

By helenam
No new shots this week, I have been very preoccupied with work, so I have once again been browsing my "REJECTS" file and found this. I originally rejected this shot because of the ugly angle of the leaf in the top right, but I did like the way the light streams though the blossom immediately to the left of said leaf, so instead of cropping myself silly trying to get rid of the leaf, I decided to just leave it.
I've actually been quite conservative in how I've cropped this image ( for a change ! ) and changed to greyscale, which helped decrease the impact of what I consider to be the negative aspects of the image.
