Swallow Chicks

By lostnspace2011
Taken in a hide at Arundel WWT last Wednesday.
I had only gone into the hide to dodge the showers and as i approached the hide i noticed a Male Swallow on the window ledge. Got closer and he never budged, got to 5 feet away and heard wings flapping around on my right where i then noticed a 2nd adult Sparrow and the nest to the left of where the mother was perched.
Image a little noisy as it was dull in there.
Comments as always welcome Smile

Nice capture, I was also there on Wednesday and if you look at my p/f I got a shot of the adult sitting on the window ledge.

Thanks Tony and Nathan Smile

Alec. I too got the Male sat on the ledge and the female perched on the right of the chicks but will upload these seperately. Did you happen to get caught up in the Thunderstorm?? I ended up taking shelter in the Sand Martin Hide whilst it poured it down. Maybe we crossed paths Smile ......Maybe you will be able to ID some of the birds that i have been unable to, im hopeless at the best of times, no more than when they are changing into their summer colours.
