Swan

By indrasish
I think this is the first image of my life which I could visualize the output while I was taking the picture. I know I have not reached the desired output but want to know from you guys what could have been better.

A super shot except there are a couple of places where iti s burnt out a bit but may be you like that effect and that is all that matters.

Stands out well from the black background, a couple of areas in the feathers that are blown, but other wise it works well.

A few people have said its a good composition, but for me it would be improved by cropping off half of the black space on the right which would have two effects, firstly it would remove a lot of waste space and would then show more space in front of the swan for it to look and move into, at the moment it tends to be looking out of the image.

I hope you take this as helpful critique and you are not offended.

Regards. - gary

Gary Thanks a lot.... No I do offend with any suggestions and specially if it is from a friend like you. Smile I think it is good that you suggested what you felt about this image. I would like to see more in future, this will make me better everyday.
Thanks again

I like the composition and idea on black bg. Would like to see it slightly lighter to bring out the wonderful reflection. Great shot all the same. paul

I like the lighting of this which makes one able to appreciate the reflection more. It is a lovely image. Well done. It gets my vote.
