Very nice picture. The cygnets add interest with the mother keeping an eye on them.

Cheers dave, that is what i like the "family day out" aspect but i think its dad rather than mum, unfortunately she was shot and died by some degenerate, so dad had to go it alone...

What a sweet, motherly picture. I love it.

How sad about the mama. Looks like the daddy is doing a great job, though.

Well, Phillip, I've had a whale of a time with your swan and cygnet pictures so I am not going to do a mod on this one. It's a lovely picture. The swan is burnt out but you will understand all about this when you read my other comments.
Just another little tip. Try to get as low to the ground as possible for waterfowl, as it improves the image enormously.
Keep up the good work, looking forward to further uploads.

Lovely family shot! Very nice composition. Difficult contrasts... Don't know what camera you use, but if you could go down a stop... maybe even less, you'll burn out less. Maybe worth taking several shots at differant stops... I've still not got the hang of it!

Just love the two cygnets on the end... too stuffed to argue over who has the last bit of bread?

Superb colours and cute with the cygnets, nice close crop. Richard
