I had been intending to give an image the subtly 'etched' effect and tried it on several different pictures over the years and was never happy with them.
I then used this image that I took on holiday last year and simply used Elements to change it by overlayng one complete edit over the other.
Briefly, this was the first effort. I tried it black & white as well, or with brighter houses, with 'natural trees' which looked good, with the harbour wall in 'natural stone', which just looks wrong.
So I went back to this first one which I will probably print & hang on a wall!
