Swanage Old Pier II

By marktc
Good morning all! Another gloomy grey day in Hampshire, oh the joys of a Bank Holiday!

I thought I would have a go at a mono conversion of Solemnity , and whilst I know that some will not like it, I think it works.

I'd be grateful of your comments.

Thanks always to those that take the time to Click, Comment and or vote on any of my images.

Have a great day and I hope the weather picks up a little for everyone.

Oh as an aside... got confirmation that my new Canon 10 - 22mm Lens has shipped.... very excited!!!

Very calm and quite with a different mood. I love the tones in the picture. Superb. Deep

lovely tones Mark, a wide angle lens seems like a distant dream getting further away every payday instead of closer, but good for you to get one.

Good tones, Mark, but I still go with the colour, which was almost a slightly toned mono anyway.

Quite a few things I like about this shot.
1 - The serene feeling of the image.
2 - The balance and contrasts of the wood in the water
3 - The picture postcards houses on the right.
Well done. IB
