Sweet Pastels

By Bee76
A stupid o'clock start this Tuesday morning with the Benacre tree and some beach deadwood in mind anticipating a gorgeous sky.....

Well the sky certainly wasn't a disappointment but sadly the iconic Benacre tree is no more Sad. With no more information I can only assume the sea had finally taken it at some point. That left me to capture some simplistic beach shots that I love but always seem to put off in favour of more 'interesting' seascapes.

The lack of obvious focal points drew me towards the motion in the sea and the fantastic tones in the sky. Very little done to this except a bit of contrast and a couple of basic tweaks. Some more to come from this series at some point.

Cheers,
Barney

Like the way that the water movement mirrors the clouds and both lead the eye to the centre of the shot.

Love the convergence of sky and surf in this. Excellent.
