Swelling

In the Alta Valle di Lanzo (Piedmont) sometimes there is a meteorological phenomenon of "swelling": the clouds coming from France are held up on the top of the mountains by the wind that blows in the opposite direction.
Thus they "swell", forming a characteristic hat that covers the highest peaks.
