Swells Hill 2013 No 1

By tomcat
The gang of four (GO4), Louise Morris, Nigel Kiteley, John Starkey and myself, made a late decision yesterday to head over to Swells Hill Nr Stroud

Apart from the Adonis Blues, Chalkhills,Brown Argus and Common Blues, to me the capture of the day was this female
Great Green Bush-Cricket Tettigonia viridissima, who was a willing subject for quite a while

Many thanks to Kate (Irishkate), for her award given to the Large White

I will endeavour to catch up with things over the next few days, but I am now on a well deserved holiday and may not be around to much

You kept that visit quiet didn't you Adie, I was there a few days earlier and saw all you mentioned plus one clouded yellow. No doubt you'll be trying to hunt down the walls at Barnack Hills and Holes later this week as the weather is set fair for the next few days. A terrific close up of this brightly coloured little chap of which I am green with envy!Grin

This bowled me over!
Love the diagonal composition, excellent detail, and you managed to get those long feelers inside the frame.
