Sydney NYE fireworks

By Merbert
This is a Compilation of several photos I took at the 2015 NYE firework display in Sydney.
One thing that stands out in my memory of it (apart from the audible and visual ), is that I really felt my pants and shirt move from the pressure waves created at the final stage.
This fireworks display was by far the best I have seen, thank you Sydney!!!!
One experience that we both, Merrin and I will never forget!
Had to be in this spot at 9am to get the position. Well worth the 15 hr. wait
I wanted to get a photo that represents this unbelievable event at its final stage, as I remember it in my mind, that means Photoshop.
Lots of people may say this is cheating!
Trouble is, there are so many fireworks going off at the final stage, to take this into one shot, you would get a lot of smoke and blown out highlights everywhere, lenses and sensors just can't do what our eyes can.
I worked on this for a few days now, not sure if I am 100% happy with it, See what you think!?
As some people will ask, our position was right on the tip of McMahons Point.
Thanks for looking
Norbert

I am not sure that I could have waited 15 hrs in the one spot but I applaud your final achievement. Your efforts in photoshop are richly rewarded and I personally would say that this image is at maximum potential. Sometimes additional tinkering only makes things worse. You have achieved the kind of image which you see but can never capture in one shot. I do not consider photoshop cheating when used in this fashion and I am certainly happy to give my award to this one.
