Symbols of Death

By Philip_H
Part of the monument of Lady Margaret Clifford, Countess of Cumberland (1560-1616) in the northeast chapel of the medieval church of St Lawrence, Appleby-in-Westmorland. The marble monument is free-standing with an alabaster effigy, and is attributed to Maximilian Colt, the King's Master Carver.

Thanks for all the C&Cs on 'English Rain' and a special thank you to Jenn for her highly valued UA Grin

Depth--so important in a sculpture image--is excellent here!
