The string would appear to be stronger than the post.

Excellent mono, Bill. The string appears to have failed with its task.

Very strong b&w and shows the make do and mend that farmers have. Great job...

Your "Lockdown" series certtainly has many images of things never noticed and passed by. Your observation has been well exercised, and successfully. Could make a photo book of the series.

A gate, a post and some string making an excellent mono composition. Well seen Bill, most would walk on by.

Great mono image with very good composition. A case of make and mend by the farmer.

This composition is very appealing. I am enjoying this series very much. You are making the best of a bad situation.

Yet it's the only element of the trio that hasn't given way, Ken Smile

I must have done so myself, Ken, maybe a couple of dozen times. But it won in the end Smile

Thanks everyone, your comments are most appreciated.

Oh dear. I do hope that's not the last post. You may need to take your bugle next time. I hope you aren't stringing us along. Humph told me to say that he likes the strong structures, tonal contrasts, the range of textures and the way the post leans, pointing to the dramatic and portentous firmament. Frankly I think he talks twaddle but I suppose that's because of his public school education. What an Eton mess.
Some infuriating child with a mop of curly hair is getting over excited and saying hello to the sky. He isn't now. Aren't rolling pins wonderful. Thank you Nigel.
You might as well have this shiny trophy for your cabinet. 🏆

Most farm structures are held together with bailing twine and a bit of twisted wire. Sometimes a rusty nail as well Smile.
Nice work Bill.
