Taking on Water - Appleby Station

Thank you for all your votes and comments on my Belted Galloway Cows having a paddle in tarn Hows. all very much appreciated.

Called in at Appleby station last week to get some photos, had no idea that a steam train would be passing through later in the afternoon until a few people with cameras started to appear! A very wet afternoon so the photographs are not the best but it was a nice surprise and great to watch it taking on water.

Hmmmm? It never even occurred to me to wonder how the "Choo Choo" trains of my childhood got the water that makes the steam!
