Talacre Lights

By sherlob
Taken on the same shoot as my last upload (thanks for the clicks and comments). The sunset that night was lovely, the moon was out and bright, and the air was still so rippleless reflections were the order of the day.

Cheers again for the company of Mark (Bruffy) and Mand (Freja) - your company was surely appreciated.

This is a composite image of three tweaked exposures (altered by +1 stop in LR) - originally shot with a 3 stop ND grad. This is the kind of image where I find the subtle transitions of composites can work better than hdr. Other processing includes a crop to top and bottom, tweaks to curves, a touch of burning and of course sharpening. To be honest all the changes made are very modest and for me constitute tweaks as opposed to down right heavy duty manipulations.

Either way I hope you like it...

Funny how that tiny highlight of the moon and it's reflection transforms an already cracking image into something even better - a quick covering with the fingers and you should get what I mean.
