Hey! I always get a tingle when the message comes that you have uploaded Blush.
I am liking the slab base for its texture, unsure what the blue-tipped thingy is (a quill?), enjoying the dripping bottle but most of all, wondering where you acquired your realistic skull. I have one from China, but it looks like what it is and I am aware that you cannot buy a real one!
PS How are you finding the lens? Worth the outlay?

Hi Fiona, Thank you for the kind words. Yes the blue tipped thing is a quill. The skull is a cast version from e-bay. I have distressed it with for real, and in post processing to make it look more realistic.

Its a bit early to say whether the lens is worth the outlay. However I work at around 50mm most of the time these days, and its certainly sharper than the Nikon 50mm I had. In the centre its marginal, but in the corners you can see the difference. Also at F1.4 the bokeh is so smooth.

As for art skills, I don't know about that, but I do get most of my inspiration from "proper" art these days, I love the work of Van Gogh, early Picasso (the blue period in particular) - and the surrealists Dale, Magritte, Dorothea Tanning to name a few.

Yes - I'm sure Death keeps his ledgers in blood-red ink. Or ink-red blood...

Excellent, as always.
I just had to re visit and give my award.
