Tantallon Castle From The West

Much thanks to everyone for feedback, votes and just for looking at my last upload. The strongly contrasting light and shadow in this scene needed a lot of fiddling about with highlights, shadows and contrast and I tried, though it doesn't look like it, to avoid going OTT with contrast and colour saturation. The lens used (see EXIF) is very contrasty and using it is a quite different experience to compact cameras, where winding up the colours and contrast in editing is par for the course. Probably the best view of the castle is from the east early on a summer morning.
