Tapestry, Como Cathedral

By TrevBatWCC
After leaving Lecco, our next stop-off around Lake Como was at the city of Como. Being a Saturday, it has a very large open market on that day, and I think most of our coach load spent half their time there! Much more interesting was here, inside the cathedral, where I came across this beautiful 16th century tapestry, which was catching the lovely light coming in through the stained glass windows. V1 shows it straight on, and V2 from further back and different viewpoint. Shame I chopped off the top left corner in V2, but standing any further back it was difficult to avoid stray bodies getting in the way! Sad

Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 5 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

The light from the stained glass windows gives these images an added beauty, Trev, two excellent captures of this wonderful tapestry.

Two extremely nice images I love how this light is coming through from the windows obviously it will not be doing the tapestry any good Great processing and an interesting narrative as always xx

Two lovely images. I find V2 more p,easing because it shows off the light from the window over different surfaces.

My first thought was, wouldn't that light eventually fade that beautiful tapestry? Both beautiful images Trev.
