I'm very pleased you took this shot as I think the HG would be hanging off a light fitting if she was close to even the smallest spider.

Scary things.

Brings back memories of being taken to the 'pictures' nearly 60 years ago.
A couple of these on screen and somebody saying/singing 'Tarantula, Tarantulee, sting where you like but don't sting me. Words I've never forgotten Smile

It looks a bit the Chilean Red tarantula I had as a pet a few years ago. They're quite lethargic creatures, and though quite partial to crickets, mine wouldn't chase after them, but wait until they got into pouncing distance! It did like a bit of exercise now & again when I took out the the tank it was kept in. And they're not at all scary! Wink
A super capture here, Carol, but disappointed with you confessing to photographing it from behind glass! Wink

I am commenting on Nick's machine because obviously he has the nerve to pull up the picture which I couldn't and it is rolled up out of my sight at present. From the briefest of looks from the thumbnail it was MUCH TOO SCARY for me to pull up and I will get Nick to put a vote on it from my machine in a moment when I am not around!!! He tells me it is a very good shot. Best regards. Carole and Nick
