Award Shortlist

Tarn Hows, Cumbria.

By derekhansen
I have just returned from a fantastic weeks holiday staying near Coniston in the Lake District. Lots of walking and plenty of photography. The weather was changeable, a real mix of sunshine and showers which was great for shooting throughout the day. The downside was only two decent sunrises and one good sunset. You cant have everything I suppose.
This image was taken at around 7.00am and is stitched from four separate shots.
I thought I would upload my favourite images in the order I shot them. So next will be Blea Tarn.
Derek

Thanks Lesley and Sarah.

The leaves are just starting to turn up there although the bracken has some way to go. I am guessing that this time next month the colour will be really wonderful.

Cracking image Derek m8. I posted one of Blea Tarn the other day it's a great location. I was surprised to see so much autumnal colour this early and you've captured it from a wonderful viewpoint in this one, Derek.

Excellent shot of a very popular place
Glad you had 'changeable' weather as you put it
2 weeks ago we had sun onSunday followed by almost constant rain Monday to Friday
But such is the Lakes . . .wouldn't be the same without a bit of rain...

Grand panorama work withe lovely colour. I like the sweep from left to right with the sun rising on the left. Nice sight of the season change down south, I'm seeing the colours up here a little already Derek.
