Tawharanui open sanctuary

By Janetdinah
This sanctuary has been made predator free and native endangered birds and trees and plants are being reintroduced. Kiwi birds are thriving as are petrels and other rare birds. There are walks all through this headland and volunteers ring the birds, plant trees and dune plants. it is so encouraging to see.

Beautiful scenery and how small the swimmer/surfer looks in the sea.
