Temperature Inversion

By woolybill1
Looking north across the Tyne Valley, a phenomenon often witnessed but very hard to capture here due to the houses in between Blush I simply had to give it a go.

Thanks for all votes and comments yesterday, and to Dave Ryder for his valued award. All very much appreciated.
Thanks for looking.

A super shot. It certainly looks cold.

The houses give context, and their inclusion strengthens the composition, which I think would otherwise just look flat.

Little house on the prairie? Makes a very useful pivot in the composition. I would probably have cropped the sky down to the light trail on the left for a letterbox/panorama composition.

I agree with Alan about the inclusion of the houses - they need to be there.

I had to look up Temperature Inversion----- will cause ICE RAIN. which we often have--and some other problems
but we had an opposite problem here---when the incoming cold air mingled with the warmer water in the creek-- Creek had it own fog! -- none on the mountains just then.....
