Great view point. I particularly like the two people walking towards us on the right of image. A little human presence works really well.

Thanks John, it was the presence of those two figures that made me decide to keep this Wink

echoing John: the two guys walking down that stretch of road add extra value to this fine shot
oh, by the way: Happy New Year!

Not your usual type of thing, but your usual quality.
All the best for the New Year. Have to say I am looking forward to it with a big dollop of trepidation.

Gritty, engaging, almost mesmeric.

All the best, Alan.

The bird's eye view of the human world, strangely detached and analytical. And very good.

This gives me an idea ........it is not pretty but very alive . Viv

Well worthy of keeping and showing, I think. Wet tarmac as free back-lighting Smile

Once again Alan this make great use of light reflecting from the buildings, the roads and the cars. I agree with John that the two figures make a great focal point.

Wonderful view point and yes those two figures make it. Hot air balloon or a drone for Christmas ?

Great shot, the compression caused by the long focal length works so well here as does the grainy B&W processing.
And the two blokes just add that something special. The Likely Lads?
Have an award and a great new year.
Cheers

Beautiful... A modern version of what I believe was called a 'dooble raa'...

And there's even a rather fine song about it on YouTube HERE .

You can always rely on me to lower the tone, Alan...

Yep, without the two figures this would be less impressive. I am therefore suitably impressed.

Superb mono, great light & lines, the two figures a bonus.

I reckon the two guys snuck out the back door and are off to the pub while nobodies watching torso they thought.

I guess an ex miner lives at 29 with the smoky chimney.
