This is one from the archives! While travelling from Dover back to Scotland we took the ferry over the Thames to save driving through London. I think it would be the Woolwich/Tilbury Ferry but cannot imagine how I managed to get a photograph of the steering wheel. Were there smaller ferries then? It is interesting as you can see all the steam driven barges? lined up to escort ships up-stream?
Posted this more of interest to see if anybody can relate or any information.
