Thames reflections..

By Fred263
Thanks for your clicks, comments & votes on my previous upload, I wandered lonely as a cloud, so.. for which I am most appreciative.

My upload today was taken last November during a night photography course with six other photographers while we covered a distance of about 5 miles in about 2 hours. I enjoyed every minute of it except for carrying the tripod. I think the conditions for night photography were perfect that Friday evening. It seems like yesterday as I did not realise I had taken this until I found this on the hard drive. I hope you may like and would appreciate any C & C if you have the time. There is a light trail from a boat in front of St Paul's Cathedral and the City skyline at night looks so inviting. The picture was taken from the South Bank walkway and the purple lights are those of Blackfriars Bridge.

Have a great day. I will be away for a short break along the coast in Dorset next week as a Birthday treat. Just reached the other side of 60 - but I don't feel it yet..GrinGrin

A stunning lowlight capture, beautifully composed and exposed with great colour and interest in depth.

Welcome to my tripod world, Fred GrinGrin The sky always looks better with a bit of light left in it (blue hour) but the reflected colour in the water looks very good.

Good advice there from Dave -the master of London by night.
Can't offer any advice on night photography - an area I need more practise in myself.
Those lights and reflections look wonderful.
