That Fence

By petra16
One of the places I had wanted to go and visit when I had the chance to visit Krakow was Auschwitz, my dad had visited the area in the 1950's and it left a lasting impression on him, the birds didn't sing and the pain was still very raw....but now I feel has though the place is beginning to heal, the birds do sing and even though we all know what happened, there is a feel of peace about the place...we must never forget........this is my tribute to Auschwitz and Birkenau.

Well, everyone I know who has been to this place relates bad vibes, bad memories, raw feelings-- A wonderful image of the barbed wire and a sense of veil in the sky-- Well done image!

Very dramatic! I hadn't noticed you post this one from the meet before. Nice to see a different angle on Auschwitz, with beautiful light
