The Angel

Good morning everyone! Pub sign saturday today is my second Christmas pub after last weeks 'Three Kings', this is 'The Angel' in Highgate. The blue sky is from April! A colourful and unusual pubsign to add to the collection.

What a delightful sign, and the building is interesting too. The sign has a bit of oriental look to it, a good combination of cultures.

Not sure why, but to me this has a feel of 60's psycadelia about it. Super bold colours in the sign and a welcoming looking hostelry.

Very unusual and imaginitive - I don't believe I have ever seen a left-handed angel before, not even playing a lute high up on a pub wall against an April sky!

What a very unusual and beautiful sign. Would make a good Christmas card - now how many pubs can you say that for??
