The Apprentice House

By M_squared
Quarry Bank Mill, Styal, Cheshire.

The Apprentice House was where the child apprentices were housed and educated. Most were gathered from the streets of Liverpool and Manchester and brought to work in the mill. They were indentured and, if they ran away, could be sought, arrested and brought back.
