THE ARCHER

By chrisevans
After a call from Orissa totally out of the blue on monday lunch time asking if I was free to shoot, we end up with this by Monday evening totally unplanned. A simple set up using one SB900 to light Orissa and spill onto the background. All D800 settings on manual, white balance set to cloudy to intensify colours especially Orissa's hair. Fun after the initial panic of saying "yes I'm free"

Thanks, Joe, Alan, Algimantas and of course John! Your comments are such a confidence boost.
It was really nice to shoot someone who isn't a colleague for a change.
I really wish I could shoot more often, maybe a new years resolution?

Take the pledge - shoot something, no matter how trivial, every day?

Nice idea John, maybe a project to get me into phone photography. What do they say, the best camera in the world is the one in your hand when you need to get that shot. Cheers, again Smile

They do indeed say that.

Also, f/8, and be there.
