All I have done in post processing is some cloning on her mind to cover some hair that was going ot form under the scarf and sharpening.

I apologize for my spelling mistake in the title. The reason is that today is my birthday and I have some drinks in my head.

I am no way a portrait photographer but there is one thing which strikes me immediately which seems to upset the balance. The eyes are right on the horizontal centre line of the picture. I feel that you could lose a little of the top of the background to raise the eyes to a better position within the frame. There are a couple of harsh shadows around the left eye and left side of the nose which could be slightly faded.
The overall quality and attraction of the picture is excellent which is why I am offering this comment.

Hi Mario, Happy Birthday!

This is MUCH BETTER than your previous uploads, a very good shot.

Its a little underexposed, however the overall image is very good, and the timing to capture the expression and eyes is really good.

The comments you receive re cropping space from the top do apply also to this, and I have loaded three mods to show whay this is so.

I have applied a thirds grid over the original to show how her face is placed in the frame, - and especially her eyes. Mod2 and 3 show how the ideal placement should be. You can compose the shot in camera to place her as in the mods, which would have meant lowering the camera to move her head higher.

You can place a thirds grid on any shot in Photoshop by displaying the grid (under the View option), and to make the grid a thirds, go to edit>preferences> grids and enter one line every 33.33% for the grid parameters. It can then be used as a guide for cropping.

Hope this helps,

Very lovely shot, but I do see a big difference made by Willie's mods. It has made a lovely shot even better. Hope you have had a good birthday. Moira

Happy birthday Mario!

I think Willie's said it all with regard to your shot. Suffice to say that it's a great improvement over your earlier one.

Keep it up!

This is so similar to a previous effort of yours with the same problem - which Willie has dealt with to perfection. Why put the head so low in the frame - it doesn't look right. I might even crop tighter, removing part of the top of the head, then adding a little brightness.
