The Bay Hotel

By Wooly
Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.

A break from the fungi shots today. Iíve been playing with my archives again. This shot was taken way back one very damp grey morning in Robin Hoodís Bay. The sun made a miniscule appearance over the horizon, and disappeared behind dense cloud.

Thanks for looking.

Large might be worth a look.

Have a great day.

Alan

The only thing that irks me on this one Alan is the light cloud next to the white hotel, was is really tonally the same? Everything else I love; the composition, processing etc. ... just that lightness that niggles a little and ould probably just do with being darkened down a fraction to separate the hotel a little more [for me anyway].

Still worth a click, don't get me wrong Smile

Info

This was a single shot processed in the latest Beta of Photomatix 3.1, which is much improved for noise and chromatic aberration. It can be downloaded from their site. I then took it in to P/S and applied a few curves and layer masks.

Superb image. Not worried about the cloud but the writing on the red sign in the foreground does get to me very slightly. This shot does not need my vote but you are getting it anyway. Andy
