The Beggar's thirst

By Wilco54
This is not quite what it seems! This man is an actor who is part of a group of Gueux who get up to their tricks at medieval festivals in france. A Gueux is the lowest form of serf or beggar you would find in a medieval village. This is almost SOOC (shooting raw and jpeg) and all that I did was increse some contract and adjust levels a bit. Comments are welcome

great capture..caught the grime & character really well.

I might have cropped tighter from theleft to get rid of most of the other guys arm, but failing that, love it.

I studied the picture a lot at first and thought that it was an actor, much too good looking for the streets, and i love the effect, well done

Many thanks! I love the comment, I think he would be disappointed to hear that! I will post a colour one if you would like a chance to revise your comment!

Gareth, thanks for the suggestion. That might work as I hadnt really considered it previously as I try to crop in camera but that could improve things!

Thanks again
Chris
