The Best of British.

By Tooma
A McLaren 650S in GT3 trim, with the sun rising on it - well, as if I would edit the shot to look like that - authenticity all the way - well just a little artistic licence.

The means of taking this shot may be controversial to some. This is a virtual car in a virtual world, shot with a virtual camera, inside the racing simulator(sim) that is Assetto Corsa. The picture was taken in the usual way - get the position/comp - then use all the familiar camera settings to make all the usual type of adjustments - and then press the shutter button. Finished with some editing in Afffinity-Photo.

This is digital art photography all the way. The real artists are the teams who design and build these wonderful games, which I highly recommend, especially in VR.

The irony of it?
The steering wheel is on the left Smile
It must be export stock then, haha.

A different approach to acquiring the image but at the end of the day it is still a photograph. I note it came on the market December 19, 2014, PS4, Xbox One. As it is a dream car one can dream about driving it, even if only on a simulator!!

McLaren does indeed do a lot of export business, Pablo. I could not find % figures, but have a look at this from 2017, "Divvying up by geography, a total of 1,234 McLarens were sold in the company's largest market: North America. Yes, somewhat surprisingly, the continent that consists of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico remains the British luxury sports car maker's most lucrative audience. Not China. Not its home country of England. Not even Dubai. America.". https://www.thedrive.com/sheetmetal/17390/mclaren-posts-sales-record-3340-cars-in-2017 . Smile
