The Blists Hill Boiler Man - and his mug.

When I enquired if it was economically prudent to burn half a ton of nutty slack a day just to warm his tin enamelled mug his reply was but this icy glare and a Brumesian utterence,which I can only guess the meaning of, that ended with just one recognisable word "off". Grin

Good to have you back! How are the mermaids? I've had a hell of a day trying to round up the unicorns; they get quite frisky when the weather warms up.

This is a very striking portrait; subject, lighting and composition are very appealing. Just catching up at the end of the day after hospital visiting. I am in an expansive mood - have a gong! Will PM when I get a minute! Smile

He does look like he could bowl you over, Dave. Here's hoping his tea is Typhoo, and he gets his Oooooh. A fine portrait sir. Lovely tone and texture with his connecting elements; classic effort and execution, sir. Have anither gong - a wee bit o auld Scots fur ye there. Smile
