Back to some dark still life stuff , yep, it's dark, I wanted it that way Wink

Experimenting with the small handheld LED lights in a darkened room, against a dark bg. Sort of light painting but not quite.
The light is from above and to the right.
The camera will be recognisable by one certain member here...... before it goes to my Granddaughter for her A Level Photography.

The flowers are from my garden.
The little wooden unit is quite old and once lived in a Church.

Thanks for dropping by.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.

another classic style still-life! I like the contrast of the modern camera with the old books and glasses, and the softer element of the flowers.Well thought out and arranged, and of course excellent lighting.

Really like this, and a lovely P30 Pentax. My old SP1 says Hi 📸🙂

I really like the composition and the dark treatment suits the subject - one can imagine an old shop with few windows

Superbly lit, Janet - I don't find it dark at all really - the light hits the right spots.
Two small niggles. I don't think you need the flower heads lying on the book behind the glasses, and I wonder if an older, bellows-type camera, if necessary lying on its side if the height is wrong, would suit better than that relatively modern Pentax?
I like the touch of the bookmark being on another page and not merely showing on the page that is open.

David, great to have your UA, very much appreciated.

Malc, don't have one of the bellows type cameras in my collection....yet Wink
The flowers on the book....they fell out, should have moved them but....I didn't Sad lazy me !
I like the light from the cheapo LED light too, difficult to hold it in the right place, good job I have a nice long shutter release cable on the camera ! The brightness does turn up or even possibilities there for further experimentation.
