The Braighe

By juldon
The only day of our holidays that we did not get rain, but as you can see its not far away....
This is the Braighe just out of Stornoway and the road to Point.

The sea was amazing that day.

I used my RAW editor to do two images one for the sky and the other the sea etc. Then merged them together.
Thanks for taking the time to look.

Great picture.
The only thing I would do, and this is only a personal thing, is clone out the houses.

Nice One

To me, the houses add to the sense of scale and help to push that large white cloud back. A nice manip and you timed the original just right to get the spindrift off the waves on the right hand side. Super result.

OOH! Nice!! Can't beleive you have used two images here - it looks so natural! The sea is fab as is the sky. I agree the houses give scale. So wild and beautiful. Nice one Smile

crikey - looks rough and ready up there Julie!!!

the 2 exposure thing's worked well here, no signs of the join, no burned out sky - well done.

satisfying when it works isn't it Smile

one of those where the detail works best at 1000 pixels, see the tops of the waves and their spray
