The Burgtor

By TrevBatWCC
Continuing on past Käthe Wohlfahrt's Museum, at the far end of Herrngasse you come to the Burgtor or Castle Gate at the western side of the town of Rothenburg and into here, the Burggarten (Castle Gardens). After the original castle which stood on the site of the gardens was destroyed by an earthquake in 1356, the Burgtor was built in the years that followed. I imagine the gardens would look beautiful a bit later in the year when the flowers are in bloom.

Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 4 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Your processing has brought out some lovely tones and detail, Trev. A fairytale castle, and an interesting effect on the tower in v3.

Many of those who instantly throw their hands up in the air in a fit of gesticulatory mayhem when ones simply utters the term HDR, have I am sure no real concept or understanding of the possibilities that HDR can achieve when applied both sympathetically and with expertise. Your three images once again prove that your Midas touch has created three most beautiful images all of which I would gladly claim ownership Trev
