I managed to get to my photography class today, only just, bumper to bumper traffic this morning for some reason, took me an hour and a half for a journey that would normally take 20 minutes.

We were not in the classroom, but at Sheffields' Canal Basin or Victoria Quays as it is also known; very lucky with the weather given that about an hout after this image was taken it was persisting it down and still is; the highlight of my day, I met the artist Joe Scarborough, I'd forgotten he lived there. Sadly he has onset Parkinsons which is restricting his prolific work output, but he is still the happy go lucky person that we see in the media.

It was bitterly cold today, frost as thick as snow on my car, but it meant I got to try out my photographers gloves, well worth the money, a fiver from China.

Please enjoy my offering today

Anyway -- so glad I came to see this magnificent photo.

Wonderful colour and reflections - I use fingerless gloves when out snapping in the cold - doesn't happen very often Wink
